Visitors to the prestigious Farnborough International Airshow hailed the Company’s “CPC16” walkthrough people-screening solution a great success.
Despite record UK temperatures during the show week, the airshow was attended by thousands of exhibitors, media, and visitors from both the aviation trade and the public.
It is estimated that over ten thousand visitors to the show passed through two Thruvision lanes over the course of the week, many of whom provided very positive feedback to the Thruvision team about their experience.
Operated by the Airshow’s official security partner, the Thruvision technology was used to express screen exhibitors and media delegates entering the airshow – with each person passing through the Thruvision screening lane in around 5 seconds.
With each lane comprising two “CPC16” cameras mounted on a lightweight aluminium gantry for simultaneous front and back screening, Thruvision’s screening lanes also featured the Company’s innovative new “DynamicDetection” AI-based automatic threat detection software, which highlights potential concealments to the operator, reducing workload and increasing screening throughput.
The technology was also extremely well received by the operators, due to its ease of use, and the speed with which people can be screened for all types of items, including metal, plastics, liquids and explosives.
