SEA expands aviation worker screening capabilities with Thruvision's 81 Series
Our US team recently delivered new 81 Series SpotCHECK systems to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in the US' Pacific Northwest, to expand its aviation worker screening capabilities.
As a Thruvision customer for a decade, SEA will be using the new systems to screen airport workers as they enter secure areas of the airport, to meet the requirements of the TSA mandate on Aviation Worker Screening.
Mobility a key factor
A key factor in the SEA's decision to deploy Thruvision 81 Series was its mobility, which enables security teams to adapt quickly to operational needs while maintaining consistent screening coverage.
SEA’s Tony McKenna, Supervisor Aviation Security said:
“At SEA International Airport, our priority is to ensure the highest level of safety while maintaining smooth and efficient operations. Thruvision’s mobile technology provides a rapid, non-intrusive solution for detecting concealed threats without disrupting staff movement or compromising privacy. The technology also enables employee screening without gender-based constraints and reduces the need for physical pat-downs. In a high-throughput aviation environment, this solution delivers the optimal balance of flexibility, security, dignity, and operational efficiency required to support our screening operations.”
